Victoria Peterson Laird has been working as an artist and writer for her entire adult life. She was first published in ‘Western Horseman Magazine’ and also began working as a graphic artist in 1973. She is the author and illustrator of the natural foods cookbook ‘America’s Favorites, Naturally,’ published in 1987 (as Victoria P. Cavalier), and has written and illustrated five children's books. She taught art at William Penn University for 25 years and has been doing commissioned portraits of animals and people since 1970.
