Rae Cestaro has written several poems, short stories, and other short literary works over the years. Her poem "What A Friend Is To Me" was nationally published in the July 1988 issue of 'TEEN Magazine and it earned her Who's Who in Poetry for Outstanding Achievement from World of Poetry in 1990. Her poem "Raging Rain" ranked Honorable Mention. She earned the titles "Golden" and "Silver Poet" respectively and was named Golden Poet in 1991. She also contributed an essay to the January 1991 issue of True Love Magazine, published by Macfadden's Women's Group. She also enjoys music, dancing, photography and drawing.
