Having grown up in the hills of rural Eastern Kentucky, writer/photographer Rebecca D. Higgins learned at an early age to appreciate the beauty and life lessons found in nature. A self-taught photographer, she has long found inspiration in the mountains, woods, and waterways of the world around her. For many years, she focused her camera on scenic landscapes and wildflowers. When the 2020 shutdowns of Covid occurred, she took up birding as a new hobby and challenge in her new location in North Carolina.
