Mr. Sorrentino was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1948 but was raised in Thornwood, N.Y. thirty miles north of the city. He graduated from Clarkson College of Technology ( now Clarkson University ) in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree. In 1970, Mr. Sorrentino's career began at Western Electric as an engineer on loan to Bell Telephone Laboratories doing coding for the Safeguard antiballistic missle system. After this project ended, he spent the remainder of his 31 year career in the manufacturing arm of AT&T coding order entry and processing systems.Simultaneously retired and outsourced to IBM in 2001, an eight year career was spent there. Currently Mr. Sorrentino is back contracting with IBM through Zero Chaos. Married in 1973 and divorced in 2004, Mr. Sorrentino has one daughter.
