About
Christopher Kinman

Christopher Kinman has a PhD in a Philosophy of Education, a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Master of Divinity. He has been delivering therapeutic and community-building services for individuals, families, communities and organizations, as well as clinical supervision and management services for 30 years. Christopher also consults to a variety of human service organizations. He is a speaker, workshop presenter and facilitates training events for professionals and community groups throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe. Christopher presents a series of books that he has written that address a move away from the individualisms that our society, particularly our human service industries, has created. Instead he presents a vision for our engagement together that is built upon our communal lines of relation, including our relations with what we often call the natural world. This work focuses upon a language of gifts rather than languages of lacks and pathologies. These books describe a work that honours community, honours the lines of relationship that have held people into life.
