About
Robert Michael Ellis
Robert M. Ellis is a philosopher and teacher living in the UK. He has a degree in Religious Studies from Cambridge University and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Lancaster University. He was also a practising Buddhist for about 20 years and is a former member of the Triratna Order. He has been working on Middle Way Philosophy since 1997, starting with a Ph.D. thesis at Lancaster University. This philosophy was inspired initially by the Buddha's Middle Way but is completely independent of the Buddhist tradition and also incorporates insights from many other places. It integrates theory completely with practice and offers new ways forward in understanding the basis of ethics. In 2013 Robert founded the Middle Way Society to develop and practice this approach with others. See http://www.middlewaysociety.org for more details.
