Robert Charles Young
Born January 23, 1966, in the ancient capital of Cornwall, county of England. Joined the British Army in 1984, until 1996. Saw active service in the Gulf War in 1990 - 1991, also a member of NATO's IFOR ( Implementation Force ) in Bosnia Herzegovina in 1996. Had four successful years as part of the Queen's Royal Irish Hussars Nordic Ski Team, winning a handful of trophies. Another highlight was having the opportunity to go to Japan in 1987 to climb Mt Fuji. Happily married since 1999 to Patricia, and loves family life and dog walking. Took up art in 2019 and sold three pieces and one commission, along his journey into art discovered that soft pastels and pastel pencils were and are his passion. By day Robert is a Class one HGV Driver delivering feed to farm animals. One of Robert's goals in life was to write and publish a book, and has been writing poems for about six years on and off.
