About
Ron Rocco "In Real Life / My Life and Work in 3D Design the Visual and Performing Arts."

Sculptor Ron Rocco's works often depict the constant and ever-changing relationship of human beings with nature, or the social dynamics of American and European society. His large-scale, site specific pieces and performances are profound and many layered metaphors evoking our endless manipulation of environment, our need for habitat, and our longing for a meaningful union with nature. The sculptures and installations he creates draw from real life experiences and social dynamics. With his book, In Real Life, he draws the reader into an exploration of the stories behind his work, often played out in the landscape of New York City in the violent 1980's. Because Mr. Rocco has developed a public sculptural language, which articulates our relationship with nature and our society, his articulation of the stories behind their making is a manuscript that enriches and informs the reader, as the physical works have enriched our shared spaces.
