Sculptor Ron Rocco's works often depict the constant and ever-changing relationship of human beings with nature, or the social dynamics of American and European society. His large-scale, site specific pieces and performances are profound and many layered metaphors evoking our endless manipulation of environment, our need for habitat, and our longing for a meaningful union with nature. With his book, In Real Life, he draws the reader into an exploration of the stories behind his work, often played out in the landscape of New York City in the violent 1980's.
