Ross T. Lucas attended undergraduate studies at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana, with a major in History and a minor in Philosophy. He earned a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, a M.S. in Counseling and Guidance from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma, and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Ross has served on numerous community, church, and professional committees; including having been chairman for the midwest region of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, center director for the Windsor/Detroit community of the ManKind Project, president of the ABC Ministers Council of Michigan, president of the Chaplains and Pastoral Counselors' Ministers Council of the American Baptist Churches USA, and having served on the region board of the American Baptist Churches of Michigan. He is currently involved in transitional ministries, having worked with churches in Michigan and New York. Ross enjoys painting, writing poems and short stories, and his photographs have been displayed in several juried exhibitions. He is an Eagle Scout and holds a first degree Black Belt in Judo.
