About
Samuel Peters
Samuel “Sam” Peters is a pastor, author, and church coach dedicated to helping churches and believers rediscover their mission and live out a vibrant faith. After decades in pastoral ministry—much of it serving smaller congregations in rural and small-town communities—Sam now equips church leaders and encourages readers through books, teaching, and coaching. His writing blends heartfelt storytelling, biblical insight, and practical wisdom drawn from real ministry experience. Sam’s books explore themes such as discipleship, church renewal, leadership, and the everyday journey of following Jesus. His work speaks not only to pastors and church leaders, but to anyone who enjoys meaningful stories about faith, calling, and community. Sam is the founder of Small Church Coaching, a ministry that helps congregations refocus on their “One Excellent Mission”—making disciples of Jesus Christ. Through his writing and coaching, he provides encouragement and practical strategies for churches seeking renewal in a changing culture. He is also the creator of Worship Rising, a discipleship resource designed to help believers prepare their hearts for worship and continue reflecting on God’s Word throughout the week. Sam lives in Kentucky with his wife, Joyce. Together they enjoy family life, cooking, traveling, and investing in the life of their community.
