I am from a small town in Northern California. I have been writing since I was in elementary school. I was bullied a lot, so I spent a lot of time alone. During that time, I would draw pictures and write stories to basically escape my reality. I did a lot of scary stories, fantasy, Poetry, short stories, etc. My first book The Wooden Door I actually started as a short story English paper in 11th grade. We were given a picture! The assignment was to write a short story off of what you see. I was given a wooden door as my picture and every single mark on the door reminded me of it having a dark history. So I wrote the short story. Got an A+ on it. Then I added to it! Now here we are and it is published! I have many other books started, many other book genres etc. I have worked extremely hard for this and my daughters.
