I have based my stories on historical places I have been to from my early childhood onwards. Some of the houses have even been owned by my friends or their families. I have a special interest in some of the more unusual and even gruesome events which have occurred because they were frightening at the time in which they occurred and I still remember the terror that was struck into some of us as children mainly in the Cambridgeshire and Fenland areas. I and my work colleagues even spoke to one of the Cambridgeshire murderers, obviously not knowing that he was going to kill a poor woman or that he had attacked a woman before in the past. I believe that ‘the eyes are the windows to a person’s soul’ and this particular man had very creepy eyes so I steered clear of him as much as possible at my place of work, and was thankful that he did not work there too!
