Stephen C. Callender
My name is Stephen Carvalho Callender. I came into this world on June 26, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York the son of Conrad William “Billy” Callender & Dorothea Carvalho. I was born at St. John Episcopal Hospital and later baptized at Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church. I started my schooling at Our Lady of Victory Grammar School. I later moved to Queens, New York and continued my education at St. Pascal Baylon Roman Catholic Grammar School. Although my parents were born in the United States, they have very close ties to the West Indies. Growing up in Brooklyn I later realized that many of my father’s friends were also the offspring of emigrants who came to America on the same boat. I am a medical technologist. My hobbies are Chinese and computers..
