About
Geof Walker

Geof Walker is a retired primary school headteacher who spent all of his 35 years in education in Cumbria, England, in four different schools. During the last 20 years, he produced a Shakespeare play, always a comedy, for the leaving students. The rehearsals would start in January and would continue until July when there would be 5 performances playing to about 1000 people. Latterly, 40 local parents and friends formed a tight unit manufacturing costumes and sets with grants from local authorities and neighbourhood schemes. The plays were described as 'outstanding' and 'excellent' by locals and OFSTED. Schools in the area asked for scripts to do their own and these four books were born. The plays have now been performed all over the world. The words are those that are easily understood by 10 to 14 year olds and the main speeches are kept in the scripts with careful edits. Enjoy putting on your own production with children.
