About
Siri Nin, High Priestess of Inanna NinAnKi - Ishtar
I am the founder and High Priestess of The Temple of Inanna's Light, and the founder of both the Ishtarism sect, which focuses entirely upon Inanna - Ishtar, and the parent religion of Anunna-Umun, which is the Revivalist form of Mesopotamian Polytheism. I am a devoted servant of Inanna, I have served as both her Hierophant and her Priestess for many years. I am an American diasporic descendent of Southern Iraq, my ancestors came from where the ancient cities of Uruk and Eridu were. I speak ancient Sumerian in the Urukean dialect of the Early Dynastic period, and I teach Sumerian language in my Temple. I'm a terminally ill autistic, intersex, transgender housewife. I'm dying of a degenerative genetic heart condition that dramatically shortened my lifespan, which is expected to finally claim my life in the coming months. I died on the operating table one day after my first book was published, and I died once more during a major heart attack the day before I began working on my second book. I consider myself blessed and privileged to have been given the opportunity to immortalize my life's work through my books and share it all with others. Though the candle that is my life is short, it has burned brightly, and as my wick reaches ever-closer to the stand I endeavor to cast my light brightly so that I may lead the way for all who seek my beloved Supreme Goddess, Inanna-Ishtar. I've lived a life full of passion, diversity, and adversity, and I channel all of it into my writing.
