About
Shannon Stevens

Shannon Stevens is many things all at once - wife, mother, grandmother, therapist, and artist. A planner full of projects and respectful of the quirkiness of others. She believes life's most beautiful challenges are the ones that ask us to grow, and children have always been the greatest teachers for life lessons. By night, she dreams of art, writing, and the marvelous things that can be done with gloves and garden tools. By day, she is an Occupational Therapist working with very young children. Shannon recognizes that differences are not merely "problems to fix" but uniqueness to understand. Her stories come from this place- honest, clear-eyed, and rooted in the real-world messiness of growing up, parenting, and simply being human. Shannon's reality is that children don't come with user manuals. Raising children is the hardest and most profound work a person will ever do, and they will teach you more about yourself then you ever thought possible. If you let them, they will love you so deeply that you will think you alone hung the stars. Shannon didn't go to school to be a writer or artist. She is learning along the way, making mistakes, and finding character in imperfection. What she is learning is that connection - real, human connection - is the beating heart of every story and splash of color. Her stories invite each of us to see the world through a child's eyes, without the clutter of economics or labels or position... just humanity.
