After completing my master’s, I opted for Banking industry and started my career with one of the largest commercial banks of Pakistan in 1971. Continued with this profession for almost 46 Years and finally climbed the top of the ladder and Retired as CEO of a major commercial bank of Pakistan in 2017. Had an opportunity to serve on the Board of Askari Insurance Ltd., Allied Asset Management and HBL UK Ltd. and Allied Bank Ltd., as CEO. Attended a number of course, seminars and training workshops. The notable is "Blue Ocean Strategy" at INSEAD France, and "Leadership" Dynamics and "Leadership in Multicultural Setting" from International Leadership Academy, Jordon , part of United Nations University. Post retirement I studied for a Professional Diploma in Islamic Banking & Finance from Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education Dundee Scotland. This is Level 11 Scottish qualification equivalent to master’s degree. Presently I enjoy reading and authored few books on different topics.
