I began writing short stories as a teenager just for the fun, and actually never really thought about becoming a (part time) novelist. All of that changed, however, following a sleepover at a friend’s house when I was 16 years old. On that night I got the idea for my first book,“Colleen,” and it never went away. I began writing more frequently following my college graduation, simply because I finally had more time for it. I often gravitate towards fantasy and even into parts of horror, because I find those genres the most stimulating to my imagination. They also allow more flexibility for working with symbolism, which I do have penchant for. I particularly enjoy the works of Stephen King, Shirley Jackson, Neil Gaiman, Mary Higgins Clark, and Agatha Christie. Though I must confess, I love to take inspiration from anything and everything that captures my attention. For this reason I also tend to take inspiration from cinema, academia, and even anime (yes, you read that correctly). Ultimately, if there’s anything you need to know about me, it’s this: I love to tell and share stories, and just have way too many careening around in my head. I hope you enjoy them!
