Tina Harolde’s life with books began in the leafy suburb of Earlwood in Sydney, Australia. Tina Harolde is an alias. After moving to Europe in her early twenties, Tina Harolde became a translator, a teacher, an editor and ghost author. Mrs Harolde ran her own foreign language institute in Athens for many years. She has designed English courses for pre-school children, teenagers and adults (including Business English). HIGHLIGHT: In 2009, she supported a Deputy Minister of the Interior in Greece preparing for 3rd Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) which the minister chaired, attended by then UN Secretary-General, Mr Ban Ki-Moon and 140 delegates. Tina Harolde taught English at the National School of Public Administration in Greece (2007-2010), academic English at UNSW Global in Sydney (2014-2016) and the Royal Holloway University of London (2016, postgrad level). She holds Qualified Teacher Status in the UK and has been an AQA English GCSE Examiner. She briefly taught English in London secondary schools Key Stages 3-4, but soon decided to forgo that pleasure. *** Tina Harolde has lived in the United Kingdom since 2016. She enjoys archery and is a pianist. Before focusing on (English) language and linguistics, she studied piano from the age of five and trained at tertiary level at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in Australia. She is an alumnus of the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs and has a real soft spot for a capella singing, no matter the musical genre.
