Based in Calgary, Alberta, TJ Decena finally succumbed to the “writing itch” that has plagued him since childhood. Having a background in the field of design and architecture, he uses everyday situations and unfiltered conversations to transcend life into blank pages. This enrichment of daily occurrences has been the catalyst for his debut novel, “Matched, Unmatched.” An advocate for all mediums of artistic expression, the self-dubbed, “People’s Wingman,” has a soft spot for graphic design. Having self-taught in the manipulation of digital art, he boasts himself as an alumni of YouTube University of Graphic Design. During his downtime, he enjoys a pint or two of Guinness, shares tidbits of “rants of enlightenment” on social media and calls them “Jagged Poetry.” Above all else, he strives to connect with each passing moment, for in these seconds of interval, inspiration can strike in a flash.
