About
Tom Sigafoos

“I write the kinds of stories that I like to read – engaging, literate, fast-paced yarns that keep resonating after the last page. I love classic noir, and I hope that my novels capture some of that tenacious-underdog spirit. In an age when novels are becoming commodities, I like to think that my stories appeal to readers who are looking for something special. And they're the best value-for-money in the shop.” Tom was shortlisted for the 2017 Percy French Poetry Prize. His crime novella / literary romp Pool of Darkness was shortlisted for the 2016 Penny Dreadful Novella Prize. His Irish historical novel The Cursing Stone was excerpted in The Copperfield Review, A Journal for Readers and Writers of Historical Fiction. His short stories and memoir have been published in The Quiet Quarter Anthology: Ten Years of Great Irish Writing, in Crannog Literary Magazine, in The Cathach Literary Journal, in The Leitim Observer, and in The Irish Times.
