Jim Nelson and Rene Agredano created the Tripawds Community in 2006 when their Chief Fun Officer Jerry lost a leg to cancer. In 2014, they founded the 501c3 Tripawds Foundation to keep many pet amputation resources and assistance programs free forever. Proceeds from publications support their efforts to help amputee pets and their people everywhere.
