Tripp Dakota was born in 1980 in Scottsdale, Arizona and grew up in the Phoenix area where he attended the Art Institute of Phoenix. Tripp moved to Los Angeles, California where he worked in luxury hotel management in Beverly Hills. Needing to feed the travel bug he picked up years earlier, he backpacked around South America for six months writing blogs for each day he was there. In one specific group of blogs describing a 5-day Patagonia hike with friends, he wrote a short story and changed everyone to fictional characters, including a minotaur. The journey inspired an autobiography of his travels, but he liked the minotaur so much that he decided to switch his book to fiction. Tripp moved to Buenos Aires to finish his novel and is currently living in Sedona, AZ while he writes the next book in his trilogy.
