Bhikkhu Cintita
Bhikkhu Cintita, formerly John Dinsmore, is an American-born Burmese-ordained Theravada monk who lives in a monastery in Austin, Texas USA. He received a Ph.D. In linguistics from the University of Califorina at San Diego, and was in his younger days successively a scholar of linguistics, cognitive science and artificial intelligence, a professor, an inept businessman and a corporate researcher and developer. He dropped out of professional life to become a Soto Zen priest for some years. He ordained in Myanmar as a bhikkhu in 2009.. He currently lives in Minnesota with four Burmese monks, where he pursues scholarship, teaching and meditation.
