Lisa Strohman, J.D./Ph.D. is the founder and CEO of the Digital Citizen Academy and Melissa J. Westendorf, J.D./Ph.D. is the owner of the Technology Wellness Center, two of the first organizations dedicated to addressing the global issue of technology addiction and overuse. Dr. Strohman and Dr. Westendorf have spent more than 15 years working with adolescents and adults struggling with the aftermath of technology overuse and addiction. These issues inspired Dr. Strohman and Dr. Westendorf to co-author their first book Unplug, in 2014, and provide a much more detailed look at the impact of technology on children and their families in their new book, Digital Distress.
