He attended a performing arts high school in Philadelphia where he developed a love for creative writing. He is passionate about exposing urban youth to the realm of possibility. "You Down With OPD?" is an adaptation of a parable. The story was written to convey an important principle and an essential message: success is not just for the privileged. Success is a mentality and an attitude. "You Down With OPD?" was not simply written to be a novel, but it was written as an impetus. The goal of the novel is to stir a movement in inner-city school's and neighborhoods. The movement is about challenging the status quo and breaking social boundaries; therefore, you down with OPD? becomes a rhetorical question.
