I was born into a poor environment in Melbourne Australia. I was educated to grade 10 and joined the Royal Australian Regiment (Army) when I was 18. I served for two periods totalling 24 years and achieved the rank of WO1 appointed as an RSM to a training unit. I took discharge in 1987 and built up a Courier Business to 10 vehicles before being made a TPI due to complications from my two trips to South Vietnam. I have always loved timber and the beautiful products made from timber, and thus this book was published.
