Martin Gegg is an Author and historian with a life long interest in motorcycles. The Warbike Project research project focuses on the military use of motorcycles during the period from 1899 to the current day. The project is gathering oral histories, diaries, contemporary articles and is bringing to light information previously buried in archives. It aims to tell the history of military motorcycles and those who developed, manufactured, tested and rode them. The first chapter of this work is Warbike: British Military Motorcycling 1899-1919 was published in October 2015. Martin has also published WW1 related articles in The Classic Motorcycle Magazine and was responsible for organising a recreation of the 1915 Brooklands Military Service Events at Brooklands Museum.
