Nicky Cooper is a British nurse, therapist and storyteller now based in Nelson, Aotearoa New Zealand, with nearly four decades of clinical experience across critical care, primary, community and public health, perinatal and end-of-life care. She is also a Nurse Tutor and Clinical Educator. She has spent her career in the kind of rooms where people are at their most vulnerable; frightened, grieving, arriving, leaving, and has never stopped paying attention. Her work sits at the intersection of clinical knowledge and the deeper knowing and questions of what it means to be truly seen, and her writing carries the same authority she brings to her client relationships.
