Greetings fellow authors and avid readers of books. My pseudonym is S. DeVaughn. I chose this name as a derivative of my Christian name. MDF. But nonetheless about ME. I was born and raised in Richmond California. As you may or may not know Richmond California has been deemed as one of the most violent and dangerous cities per-capita in the US. Despite its reputation, a determined person who wants more out of life will find a way around the perspective of the city as I did. I finished college with an AS Culinary Degree, I am a Americorp Graduate, Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS) and counselor with fifteen years of community service. I have worn many hats, but my passion is in the entertainment sector, writing stories and plays fiction and none fiction. This is my breakthrough story. If I can do it anyone with determination can too, after all I was raised in a family with a reputation for violence. I was determined to be different and make a change.
