MONKEY BUSINESS

This might have been a love story, except that I’m no longer certain what love is. The same goes for story. Not yet the blanket. That comes later. First, we’ll get the photograph out of the way. Since its second coming, that photograph has haunted my mind. I say second coming because there had been a different first. It was a photograph I thought I knew well. The occasion of its taking I could hardly have put out of my mind.
