Corpse in a Hot Air Balloon!

London is an exciting city. There are always exciting events to attend. July 1,2005, Inspector Jiles of Scotland Yard invited me (Bentley Brighton) to a hot air race that evening. It was to be held at the Laburnum Air Field, a former Air Force Base. My very special partner - Detective Cheerie (large male cream colored cat) would accompany us. Inspector Jiles was acquainted with some of the pilots. We spoke to Charles Kingsley who was the most popular pilot at the race. The crowd loved his bright yellow happy face balloon. Charles won the race that day. But, the next race to be held on November 24 would be quite different.
