The journeys of the Aro Trülku continue. Ngakpa Chögyam, a solitary wandering Nyingma Lama, lives alternately in the Himalayas and Wales. Being an itinerant in the East, life is uncomplicated - but integrating with life in Cardiff, as instructed, is occasionally alternately dramatic and enigmatic, harrowing and comical. His life requires resilience and ingenuity. In returning to recount his experiences to Künzang Dorje Rinpoche and Düd’jom Rinpoche, he discovers that his apparent failures are not regarded as such. The need to find a consort however, is deemed of increasing importance - if he is to discover Aro Lingma’s gTérmas, as prophesised by Kyabjé Düd’jom Jig’drel Yeshé Dorje Rinpoche. It seems improbable. His life becomes a sequence of improbabilities - so learning to expect the unexpected, proves unavoidable.
