Chronicles of the Eagle

This is the story of a young man with dreams of adventure, happiness, and commitment. The narration opens immediately after the young man marries. He and his new wife embark on a trip to further his education. The young man believes he is following a prophecy predicted by his great-grandfather which stated that he would fly far and high and settle in a new city. He believes this to be his impossible dream and is ready to give it all his energy, knowledge, and indefatigable enthusiasm. During this time, the first child of the couple is born under very adverse conditions; thus, making her future life very uncertain. Sometime later, the young man is deployed by the US Army to Ft. Buckner in Okinawa. This leads the young man to think that perhaps this undertaking, which takes him to the other side of the world, is the fulfillment of his great-grandfather prophecy. During this period, the second child is prematurely born and follows a fate similar to the first one. During both of these stages, nothing short of miracles aids the couple in their tour of life. As in my previous works, this story is a tapestry of memories where the weavers are God and His Blessed Mother, and their most vibrant thread is the family.
